How might I illustrate the portrait of the graphic designer?
Approach
Alexey Brodovitch was a 20th century Russian-born American graphic designer and photographer. He is well-known as a director of the fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar (1934 -1958). I took advantage of his unique work experience, so I chose one of his famous works as a reference —Harper's Bazaar's July 1956 cover. I wanted to illustrate him as realistically as possible, so I focused on details. By combining his portrait and his famous work, I created the magazine cover in order for viewers to recognize him and his achievement.
